She is now looking to facilitate the setting up of provision across Hertfordshire.
The government has allocated additional funding for those in Syrian Resettlement programme to enable them to have more intensive tuition for 6 months. ( about 10-15 hrs) a week. Her recommendations are that formal and informal are combined to provide an intensive programme

Job description
The Syrian Resettlement Programme is currently looking for self-employed English tutors to teach vulnerable adults on an individual basis (1to1 or 1to2) across Hertfordshire.
The learners include women who are pregnant and/or have young babies and also adults with serious medical problems.
The teachers will need to assess the learner’s level and plan
lessons to improve their English level. Some of the learners may also have literacy challenges.
These lessons may take place in the learners’ homes.
Successful applicants will fulfil the following criteria:
* Be self-employed
* Hold an ESOL teaching qualification such as CELTA
* Have at least 2 years of teaching experience
* Already have or be willing to get a DBS check
* Be flexible in terms of hours worked on a weekly basis.
