Can Herts Welcomes Refugees help if we have to self isolate and need help with shopping and other errands?
If you have to self isolate during the Covid 19 emergency, Herts Welcomes Refugees volunteers may be able to help you with some things such as getting and delivering shopping and picking up prescriptions. However, we will only do this in accordance with official guidance and if we have sufficient volunteers available.
How do I get help with shopping etc?

• Please call or send a message to your Area Convenor, not your usual volunteer– the phone numbers are below
• Herts Welcomes Refugees expects you to pay for the things that volunteers deliver but please let your Area Convenor know if you have a problem with this
• Your Area Convenor will let you know which volunteer is going to help you. If you do not know them already, the Area Convenor will send you a photo of them
• The volunteer will contact you to let you know what time they can deliver to you and how much the shopping costs
• If the volunteer is picking up a prescription, please let them know your date of birth in case they are asked for this and whether you usually pay for prescriptions
• If you can pay, please try to have the correct money ready. If you do not have the correct money, let the volunteer know how much you are going to give them, so that they can give you the correct change. So if your shopping costs £8.50 and you only have a £10 note, let the volunteer know so they can have £1.50 ready for you.
• The volunteer will put the shopping on your doorstep, then knock on your door and stand at least 2 metres back. They will put the receipts for the shopping in the shopping bag with any change if you do not have the correct money
• Please leave the money for the shopping in a bag on your doorstep, take the shopping in and close the door so that the volunteer can collect the money
• Please wash any money you hand over or receive and the items delivered to you
  Unfortunately, there are some scammers who are trying to take advantage of the lockdown. If someone you do not know contacts you saying that they are a Herts Welcomes Refugees volunteer and offers to do shopping, ask for their name and phone number and contact your Area Convenor to check that they are a true volunteer. Herts Welcomes Refugees volunteers will never ask for payment in advance and will not offer to get cash for you.

إذا اضطررت لعزل نفسك ضمن تبعات حالة الطوارئ التي نجمت عن تفشي فيروس كورونا المستجد كوفيد-19، فقد يكون بإمكان متطوعي منظمة Herts Welcomes Refugees مساعدتك في بعض الأمور مثل التسوق وتوصيل الاحتياجات المنزلية وصرف الوصفات الطبية. ولكن يرجى العلم أن تقديم هذه الخدمات لن يتم إلا وفقا
لتوجيهات رسمية ورهنا بتوفر عدد كاف من المتطوعين. كيف يمكنني الحصول على مساعدة في التسوق ونحو ذلك من الاحتياجات؟
• يرجى الاتصال هاتفيا أو إرسال رسالة لمنسق المنظمة بمنطقتك - وليس المتطوع الذي يقدم لك المساعدة عادة – وتجد أدناه أرقام الهواتف المعتمدة لمنسقي المناطق.
• تتوقع المنظمة منك دفع مقابل الأشياء التي يسلمها لك المتطوعون، ولكن إذا كان ذلك متعذ ار عليك فيرجى إخطار منسق المنطقة بذلك.
• سيرسل منسق المنطقة بيانات المتطوع الذي سيتولى مساعدتك، وإذا لم تكن تعرفه، فسوف يرسل لك المنسق صورته.
• سيتصل بك المتطوع لإعلامك بالوقت الذي يمكنه توصيل الأغ ارض التي تسوقها لك وتكلفتها. • إذا كان المتطوع يصرف وصفة طبية، فيرجى إخباره بتاريخ ميلادك في حالة طلب ذلك، وما إذا كنت
تدفع عادة مقابل الوصفات الطبية. • إذا كنت تستطيع الدفع، يرجى محاولة تجهيز المبلغ المطلوب مسبقا. وإذا لم يكن لديك المبلغ المطلوب
بالضبط، فأخبر المتطوع بالمبلغ المتوفر لديك حتى يتمكن من إحضار مبلغ صرف مناسب معه لإعطائك الباقي. فلو افترضنا أن تكلفة التسوق هي 8.50 جنيه إسترليني وأنت لا تملك سوى ورقة نقدية فئة 10 جنيهات إسترلينيه، فأخبر المتطوع بذلك حتى يتمكن من تجهيز 1.50 جنيها إسترلينيا يعطيها لك.

• سيضعالمتطوعالأغارضالتيتسوقهالكعلىعتبةبابمنزلك،ثميطرقالبابويقفعلىبعدمترين على الأقل. وسيضع كذلك إيصالات التسوق في أحد أكياس التسوق ومعها مبلغ الصرف إذا لم يكن المبلغ المستحق متوف ار معك بالضبط.
• يرجى ترك قيمة فاتورة التسوق في كيس على عتبة بابك، والتقط الأغ ارض وأغلق الباب حتى يتمكن المتطوع من أخذ المال.
• يرجى غسل أي أموال أو أغ ارض سلمتها أو تسلمتها. هناك للأسف بعض المحتالين الذين يحاولون استغلال حالة حظر التجول. فإذا اتصل بك شخص لا تعرفه مدعيا انه متطوع لدى منظمة Herts Welcomes Refugees وعرض عليك التسوق نيابة عنك، فاستفسر منه عن اسمه ورقم هاتفه واتصل بمنسق المنطقة للتحقق من أنه متطوع حقيقي وليس محتالا، مع الأخذ بالاعتبار أن متطوعي المنظمة لن يطلبوا منك مطلقا الدفع مقدما ولن يعرضوا عليك توفير أموال نقدية.
